| With the aim of providing basic health care to all the sataf and students of
DBSKKV, Medical Unit has been established in 1979-80. Medical Unit provides
medical facilities at the very affordable cost i.e. Rs.2/- for 7 days and Rs.5/- for 7
days for students and staff respectively. The unit has the following facilities. |

For emergency indoor patients, there is an arrangement for 6 beds. |

If the patient requires traction, it is given under the guidance of expert in
Medical Unit with the help of Traction Unit. |
|
Diathermy machine which helps the patient to get relief from sever muscular
pains. |
|
The facility of E.C.G. is made available for the students at the cost of Rs.50/-
and for the staff @ Rs.100/- only |
|
The availability of Glucometer helps to check the blood sugar level of the
patients. |
|
The students regularly check their weights on automatic weighing scale and
take care of their BMI. |
|
Minor surgery is done in the Medical Unit. |
|
For emergency patient, oxygen cylinder is available. |
|
First Aid kit is always ready to attend the emergency. |
|
Necessary medicines and injections are stocked to treat the patients. |
| Every year, approximately 1500 patients take the advantage of the medical
facilities provided by the Medical Unit. Besides, blood donation camp and annual
health check up of the students and staff are organized every year. The staff of the
unit comprises.; 1 Medical Officer, 1 staff nurse, 1 Pharmacist and 1 peon. |
